olga batsedis, esq.Olga's primary area of practice is family and matrimonial law. She has vast experience with cases involving custody, visitation, child support, child abuse and neglect, termination of parental rights, legal emancipation, orders of protection, paternity, divorce, legal separation and prenuptial agreements. Olga has also litigated guardianship proceedings for both minors and adults. Olga is experienced in handling estate planning and is involved in all aspects of probate and administration proceedings. She drafts estate plans and all ancillary documents involving health care and financial decisions. Olga has served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John B. Pessala at the Nassau County Family Court, the Honorable Leonard B. Austin at the Nassau County Supreme Court, and the Honorable Nan R. Shuker at the D.C. Superior Court. She served as a congressional intern for the Honorable Rick Lazio at both his district office and on Capitol Hill. She previously worked at Williams and Connolly in Washington, D.C. and at the corporate office of Clear Channel Entertainment in New York, NY. Olga is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law (J.D., 2004). She was a member of the Family Court Review and served as the Managing Editor. Her student note “Embryo Adoption: A Science Fiction or an Alternative to Traditional Adoption?” was published in October 2003. Olga attended American University in Washington, D.C. where she received her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Law and Society (B.A., cum laude, university honors 1999) and her graduate degree in Justice, Law and Society (M.S., 2000) where she graduated first in her class. Olga is admitted to practice law in New York. She is fluent in Greek and is a member of the New York State Bar Association. |
