Brian J. Zimmet is a partner at Zimmet Bieber LLP.  He formed the firm in 2003 after practicing law as a solo practitioner since 1994.  He represents a wide array of clients primarily in the areas of trusts and estates, guardianships and real estate and serves as general counsel of numerous small businesses.  He counsels clients on an array of legal, financial and practical issues that arise in their daily activities.  He has spoken at seminars on elder law and estate planning and on probate and estate administration.  Mr. Zimmet’s background is derived from 19 years as a practicing attorney.  His experience has given him a unique perspective on the problems his clients may face, which he uses to advise and vigorously represent them.

Mr. Zimmet is a member of a myriad of organizations which focus on advancing American foreign and domestic interests including the National Committee on American Foreign Policy, Washington Institute of Near Estate Policy, the Israel Policy Forum and the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste.  He is an active member of the New York Bar Association and serves as a member of the Probate and Trust Law Section.  

Mr. Zimmet received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 1989 and his law degree from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1992 where he graduated magna cum laude.  He was the associate editor of the Moot Court and recipient of the prestigious John S. Brainbridge award for excellence in advocacy.  Mr. Zimmet is admitted to practice in the New York and New Jersey state courts and the United States Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
